Every krone goes to the workshop
Krafttak for Gaza is a volunteer fundraising effort based in Tromsø, Norway. Since 2008 we have raised money for the prosthetics workshop in Gaza — the Artificial Limb and Polio Centre (ALPC). Nobody here draws a salary and we take no administrative cut. Every krone you give goes to the workshop. The organisation is supported by the City of Tromsø.
What your gift pays for
- Prosthetic materials — sockets, joints, liners and components that must be brought in from outside.
- Salaries for the specialists so that the prosthetists and physiotherapists can keep coming to work.
- Running the temporary premises after the workshop's building was damaged.
Thousands of people in Gaza have lost arms and legs. Many of them are children. ALPC is the only place in Gaza that makes and fits prostheses. Without the workshop there is no alternative.
